Would you guys say using a gas cloud is efficient against tanks? I know it works well against infantry but tanks can usually move out of the way before they die and it does a limited amount of damage.
Any advice on using gas clouds against enemy tanks?
Some ideas of mine: - Using "battlefield deception" to help keep them in place - Sending in bombers while the AA is trying to escape the clouds - Sending a hit-and-run group of Tigers to cause damage while they are moving and quickly retreating before they can focus fire onto one tank - Sending a V2

If there are a moderate amount I recommend using Battlefield deception, using tigers to kill the AA, then bomb them. They generally run away assuming they don't have enough troops to kill you, and it would be better to keep the tanks they still have for the future. If they have a large amount of tanks, use Battlefield deception against them, kill the AA and then V2 them. Gas just isn't very effective against them, everytime I use it, it kills a couple of infantry and the tanks remain nearly unscratched, its just not worth it.

Thanks, the USA is a good enemy for Germany because when they send paratrooper tanks and artillery (which they manage to do on even a plains map....) and they don't have any mobile AA so sometimes I use the clouds to hold my enemy in place as I V2 the army and then send in my army to finish him off. Of course this only works against the USA but France, UK, and Russia are different stories. A lil story: like a week ago we were playing a 2v2 pelo map in WWII and my enemy made like 30 Tigers and I had like 40 Panzers but he didn't make any AA so I sent a nuke and killed 20 of those Tigers right away as my ally sent in bombers so I held his 10 Tigers in place with about 20 of my Panzers (the others were on the other half of the map defending against paratroopers)

One thing gas is good for is halting an enemy advance. It can be used a lot like smoke. The attacker sees the gas and thinks "Ha! I saw the gas before it got my troops" and backs off when in reality the point was to stop the momentum of the enemy force long enough for, say, the bombers to come in or a V2 to arrive as you said.

But when there are tanks usually they just plow right through. When sending bombers, you have to predict where the enemy will be when the bombers come. This is a bonus to having fighters going around random areas of the map (which also kill Sab and Sas).

Ha, while I was playing a scn, I got bored and decided to make a lil extermination camp. The clouds kill civilians very quickly. Combined with some MG they could kill the whole enemy eco in seconds!

u can notice that i accidentally hit on of the MG42 teams yeah, battlefield deception would help keep the tanks there. while they are killing eachother, artillery would be a very good idea cause they attack the closest unit, which is generally eachother. or just send in ur whole army and wipe them off the map i tried a couple of games w/ hit-and-run tigers, but it wasnt a very good idea as the enemy was very quick to focus fire onto one tank and destroy it in seconds before their units where killed. [im talking about like a 4-group hit-and-run party of tanks]
