Based upon a scenario common amongst StarCraft gamers (Evolves), Evolution Blood is a simple game. The map is divided into eight outer sections and a middle section. Each outer section is a different player's main base, and contains several core buildings surrounded by defense structures. As a second passes, the player spawns a unit in the unit spawn area (which is rather large). As the player accumulates kills, the unit he spawns evolves, and he spawns a better unit. Point of the game is to be the only player (or team) left standing.
Also, it will feature massing. The idea is that in the center is a little area that cannot be accessed by regular units. Here are some houses (which display everyone's kills) and citizens (whose attack is 0). When a citizen moves next to a house, all military units of the player that owns the citizen attack move to the main base of the player that owns the house. It is very effective when you are dealing with massive armies.

The idea of spawning soldiers who upgrade on every kill milestone is a little over done these days imho, but this has a little different flavour with 8 players. If you can make a varied battlefield that isn't covered with burnt out planes and dead trees that would be interesting.

Yeah, blood games are very common. I would personally make the middle include a "super tower" which would have a range of ohh say 10, hp of 10000, and attack of 1000. This would cause problem for the armies as they enter the middle, but when it is destroyed, it becomes an ally to the player (or team) who defeats it. This would be something that the people would want because then they could always retreat to it. Of course if the other team defeats it, it would become theirs. Its just my idea though. I'm not too good with triggers so I can't do it, of course you can

Evolves is a simple game type for StarCraft as well, but Evolves is also fun. Most of the Blood games on Empires aren't on the scale that I prefer (in SC, you might have several hundred units per side in a battle).
The map is rather void, as is traditional for Evolves. I was partially considering just having six players, and then having no walls.
One of the neat features will be selecting options at the beginning. The host can choose stuff (right now just teams, like 1v1v1v1v1v1 or 2v2v2 or 3v3 or open diplo, but eventually there'll be more) before the game begins.

That sounds pretty cool. But put a "recommended" option for each of them, as otherwise all the host will be putting different things.

Well, naturally, that's the point. Variety. However, when I reformatted, I lost all data...so I have a lot of work to do.
