Feel like all the units that can't be healed are pretty useless. And that makes it hard to play these civs. Anyone has a solution or something?

Well, you don't need to be able to heal units to play them. Usually, you send them to attack in a huge wave, and the majority of them die, but that is alright because you will constantly be making more.
But if retreating to heal is a big part of your plan, then you can stick w/ USA (they have engineers / ambulances), france (units heal self), russia (houses heal units), germany (town centers heal units), and any other one I might have missed.
Personally, when playing China, I don't even bother to retreat because the cannons are so cheap to build that they are easy to replace. Plus they are so weak and slow that retreating usually kills them if the enemy chooses to pursue.
But the universities for all civs have a thing you can get that will make all of your units full health, but can only be used once or twice (depends on game mode). This is useful when having lots of tanks or artillery or whatever in a battle, as then you can use it right in battle, without retreating. Just make sure the attack is worth it, because you can't repeat it if it is a one time use thing.

Yes, I understand, but the Siege Crossbow cost like 500 g 400 w, and it cannot be healed. It's the most costly unit before the world wars. I was just wondering if there's like a mod or something that makes the Chinese priest able to heal the siege units and the War Kite. It's sortof unfair since only China and UK has this dysfunction.

Hmmm.... Well now I understand what you mean. Unfortunately, there are not any mods for empires that change anything besides speed / strength / attack damage / stuff like that. Oh, and there is one that adds snow as a ground choice and another that can change sounds / soldier colors.
But nothing that affects things of that sort. I suppose you could make a scenario, and somehow make it so you can heal them that way and just play the scenario. But that would probably get boring quickly.
The thing that makes Empires so different from other RTSs is that all the civs have these different disadvantages and advantages. If healing your artillery is so important, I would not suggest playing as China or England then. Most players have a particular civ that they most often play. Personally, I prefer playing with Germany as I am a guy who likes stronger units like the Tiger Tanks.

Well, China and UK are far from my favorite civs, I prefer Korea and Germany, basically cause I prefer booming, and then overwhelm with their stronger units(King Tiger, Twinsword cav). Just found it kind of weird and unfair since all the other civs have healing options. From my point of view it's a big disadvantage to not be able to heal, especially early in the game.

I see where you are coming from, but all the civs are pretty well balanced out. Except an England vs China deathmatch game (England can make like 100 soldiers in 2 minutes with the researchable thing, China takes at least 10 minutes to get any good amount of soldiers out)

Feudal bonds? Seems like cheating to me, but like 15-20 sword cavalry(any type) can totally harass a 100 basic infantry.

Yeah, that one. But that is why in multiplayer, everyone always wants to be england (sometimes france for some reason) when it is an imperial deathmatch. the english always make like 10 stables, and then pump out all those horsemen like wildfire.
my favorite civ would have to be germany in WWII. ok against rushes, and good later on in game too.

Guess imperial deathmatch is broken then. What about russia in the world wars? Don't they have like something similar to feudal bonds?

Yeah they have the super Conscript recruiting ability. You can train a Conscript in 1.5 seconds with it.

They also have "mobilization", which is exactly like fuedal bonds. However, the game was patched so that each building could build a max of 10 or 15 units at a time. And Russia takes a while to get up 10 buildings, compared the England that can make them all at once.
But by the time they get out their huge army, the other countries have a pretty decent defense, so that isn't as unfair.
And I wouldn't say imperial deathmatch is broken at all, it is easy to combat this by simply using an island map, or having one of your allies be england and counter attack, while you be something else.
