Hello i have owned empires for a long time though unfortunely ive never seen anybody online. My suggestion is that the game is made into a torrent file and posted on a torrent download site such as thepiratebay.org/this way the tons of people who visit that site can play this forgetten game and possibily come active again. yes i alreayd looked on the piratebay for this game but i dont think the download works.

Or www.mininova.org which is very popular. But there are tons of people on. You just gotta go on during the weekends. Some days / times of day have more visitors as we all live on different parts of the globe. There are anywhere from 20-150 people on nowadays.

I admit that the game is a tad forgotten, but putting it on PirateBay or another torrent site is almost pointless, as the game only costs...it was fifteen when I bought it...four years ago...so it must be around ten or even five by now.

I see i thought there was only a handfull of players left but why did the empires heaven shutdown if there was still quite a few players left.
And yes the game was too very cheap when i bought it however when i look around shops these days i never see it. Perhaps in England that is the only case? Either way putting it on a torrent site aswell as people buying it will increase popularity.Alot of cheap games found are really good but have small online communitys one game called global operations is coming back now because of torrents.

The reason people don't buy it is because its old and it still costs. Putting it onto a torrent site would increase the number of players. There is a whole group of people who only buy hacked versions of games. A very large group indeed. I say it's worth a shot

The reason EH shutdown is because though there are many players, there are only a handful that still visited the EH forums.

i thought as not to waste space creating a new thread id ask a question here.
How do you get access to the internet play through gamespy i have registered and can log on then it asks me for a nickname because the account doesnt have one so i type in captain and it says
"The unique nickname is invaild or already in use"
so i attempt again with loads of diffrent names but the same message pops up any help?
EDIT: for some random reason it just let me in.

You might actually find yourself encouraged to make a thread instead because:
1. To make the forums look busier 2. Otherwise is hi-jacking a thread, which depending on the orthodoxy of forum rules that Brandon has set up, is against forum rules.
That means no answer and bans all round. Maybe not in this case, you could get off with a slight scolding instead.

This is because all the nicknames you are trying have already been made You gotta think up of something unique like "Captain Monkey" or something like that.

Lol, don't be worried about hi-jacking the thread since he made it and we don't use an iron fist on these forums... People are actively talking about putting a game up to pirate (which I don't particularly agree with, but oh well). But don't worry at all about making a thread that may seem pointless... Its not like this place will be cluttered

Thats not the point, $5 and free are two different things. Free > $5. Though I "don't" encourage pirating, quote-unquote encourage.

Yeah, if it is free way more people will buy it. There is a whole group of people ages 12-18 who don't have credit cards and can't buy it online and would rather get a newer game at a store.
